Atta Ullah Shah

Dr. Atta Ullah Shah currently serves as the 5th Vice Chancellor of Karakoram International University (KIU). Prior to this role, he held the position of Vice Chancellor at the City University of Science and Information Technology, Peshawar from 2014 to 2018. From 2000 to 2014, he served as Director of Projects and Planning at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU).
He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Pakistan (IEP), Chairman of the IEP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chapter, a Consulting Engineer, and a Life Member of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). Dr. Shah actively contributes to numerous committees of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and PEC, and serves on various project advisory committees, selection boards, and steering committees of national and international organizations of high repute.
An accomplished academic, Dr. Shah has authored over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. He has also written six books covering topics such as Engineering Economics, High-Strength Concrete, Disaster Management, and Construction Project Management. His areas of expertise include academic leadership, financial management, resource mobilization, and Outcome-Based Education and Assessment.
