Project Brief:

This project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of federally and provincially sponsored IT skills development programs in Balochistan. Specifically focusing on initiatives targeting university students, the study examines how these programs have contributed to enhancing digital literacy, employability, and entrepreneurial skills among the youth. Utilizing primary data collection, the project will critically assess three major initiatives: DigiBizz, NAVTTC, and DigiSkills, implemented across six public-sector universities in Balochistan.

Public Policy Relevance:

The findings of this study are highly relevant to public policy for both federal and provincial governments. By aligning youth-focused IT initiatives like DigiBizz, NAVTTC, and DigiSkills with the actual needs of beneficiaries, policymakers can implement more targeted and effective interventions. This research will serve as a blueprint for future planning, identifying gaps, obstacles, and issues within the existing managerial and administrative mechanisms that hinder positive outcomes. Moreover, the study’s findings will provide data-driven insights for improving these programs. As digital literacy and IT skills become increasingly essential for reducing unemployment, this research project aligns with national development goals aimed at enhancing employability and designing initiatives necessary for cultivating a skilled workforce through technical education.
