Project Brief:
This research project aims to enhance the academic performance of students with hearing impairments in Southern Punjab by integrating Entrepreneurial Education and Total Quality Management (TQM) into special education. Entrepreneurial education fosters creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills among students, while TQM encourages continuous improvement in teaching practices, school management, and student outcomes. Additionally, the study will explore how school climate and teacher job satisfaction impact the effectiveness of these strategies.
Employing a mixed-methods approach, data will be collected from special education institutions across Southern Punjab. The research will assess how these innovative strategies influence student engagement, academic achievement, and retention. A primary objective is to establish a supportive and inclusive learning environment that benefits both students and teachers. The findings from this study have the potential to serve as a model for enhancing special education throughout Pakistan.
Public Policy Relevance:
This study provides compelling evidence to support inclusive education reforms in Pakistan. It demonstrates that integrating entrepreneurial education with Total Quality Management (TQM) and fostering a positive school climate can enhance the quality of education for hearing-impaired students. The research emphasizes the significance of family support, government assistance, and socioeconomic factors in influencing student success. It advocates for collaboration among schools, communities, and industries to offer better resources and opportunities for students with special needs. The findings can guide policymakers in designing more effective and inclusive education policies, improving teacher training, and implementing teacher licensing as a means to achieve quality education for hearing-impaired students. This study plays a crucial role in promoting social justice by addressing inequalities and fairness in resource allocation while advocating for the rights of all differently-abled citizens of Pakistan. By tackling educational inequality, this research contributes to Pakistan’s broader goals of equity, access, and quality in education, ensuring that all children, regardless of their abilities, have the opportunity to succeed.
